Christmas 2017
I can't believe it's already Christmas! This year has definitely been one of my favorites. Earlier this year I started to slowly refresh my decor. I've always loved blue and white. So, after repainting my walls antique white, I started to introduce pops of indigo. Pillows are an easy way to update you decor, so I started there. Then, I began to add other decor accents like ginger jars and a couple of blue area rugs.
Throughout the year, I kept adding more blue accents, and it was towards the end of summer that my Christmas theme started to take shape. I knew I wanted a flocked tree and since I had so much blue throughout the house, I knew I wanted to continue the theme for Christmas. I found the perfect indigo ornaments and added complimentary silver and white ornaments, that I've collected over the years. Additional accents of gold tied everything together from my tree-topper, to my gold framed mirror.
I love a monochromatic wrapping theme. Here, I used blue paper with blue grosgrain ribbon and added pops of white with blue in addition to a beautiful blue and white striped paper.
Christmas doesn't have to begin and end in the living room. This year, I decided to change out my everyday bedding to this beautiful tartan plaid. Hanging lights can make any space feel festive.
While I didn't hang lights this year, I did decide to liven up the porch with this 6ft nutcracker, holiday pillows and welcoming Seasons Greeting sign.
