I admit it. I love bar soap. The packaging, the various shapes and sizes and of course, the smell! Over the past 5 years I've purchased a wide array of soaps. Some have been amazing, some...not-so-much. Here - I've assembled my favorites.
1st Place - L'Occitane Soap (for Men, but I've found both men AND women LOVE this soap and it's fragrance) I come back to this bar again and again. The scent holds up nicely and you use the bar and leaves your skin smelling like perfection.
Best in Show - Verdon Bar Soap, L'Occitane - Unfortunately it seems this bar soap is always out of stock so i've come to covet the 3 bars that I have left! The scent is definitely more on the masculine side, more cologne-like, but amazing!
Honorable Mention - Ralph Lauren Home Soap - The scent, amazing. I found this at the flagship Ralph Lauren Home Store in NYC and have never been able to find it since. I've seen it pop on on various sites like Amazon and ebay so if you find - please, let me know.
Personal Touch - Gianna Rose Atelier® Coastal Soap by Pottery Barn - These soaps I purchased because of the packaging alone. I have to admit, they smell amazing, but I have yet to open them! Oh - and did I mention these tiny fragrant beauties are currently on sale?
Classic - Crabtree & Evelyn - I've found that you can never go wrong with C&E. Their soaps are divine. Check out the vintage bars. Great packaging and smells taboot!
Vintage Cool - You Smell Shea Butter Bars - Cool factor award goes to You Smell. Their packaging alone had me ordering an entire set. Perfect gift idea! However, I will say - once I actually used one, the scent didn't seem to last long. The rest will be staying in the nifty little packaging.
