Boozy Harvest Punch
I can’t believe it’s been roughly a year since my last blog post. What can I say? Sometimes life gets in the way. And this year, I think we can all agree that 2020 in general is to blame. But when I started to think about the upcoming holidays, I was reminded of my love of entertaining. So what better way to celebrate than with a punch? A boozy punch specifically. This comes together so quickly, is SO tasty and captures all the flavors of fall. Though be warned, too many of these many land you on someone’s sofa for the evening! This is probably where I should say, enjoy responsibly.
Ingredients
Makes approximately 12 servings.
6 cups ice
1/2 gallon apple cider
1, 750ml bottle chilled Prosecco (I used La Marca)
1 cup vodka (I used Member’s Mark French Vodka exclusively at Sam’s Club)
2, 12oz cans of ginger beer
3-4 apples, sliced
2-3 oranges, sliced into triangles
8 cinnamon sticks
Optional cinnamon/sugar blend for rimming glass edges
Handful of star anise
Instructions
In a large punch bowl combine ice, apple cider, Prosecco, vodka and ginger beer.
Add apples, oranges and cinnamon sticks, then stir until combined.
If you want a little more sweetness, use an orange slice to wet rim of glass, then dip into cinnamon sugar mix, turning to coat.
